Fusion of Research and Thought is an independent, non-profit organization with its secretariat in Bangladesh. It runs method workshops, mentorship cohorts, a conference and an international poster competition across five research domains. You do not need a post or a publication record to take part.

Good research often stops before it reaches anyone.
What FRT does
Usually the missing piece is an ordinary one: a reader who will be honest about a draft, a first venue that accepts posters from undergraduates, a clear sense of what a methods section has to contain. FRT supplies those.
Teaches research method and grant writing
Working sessions on framing a question you can actually answer, reading a literature base without drowning in it, and writing a proposal that survives a funder's first pass.
Mentors early-career researchers in cohorts
Each cohort pairs a student with a researcher who publishes in a related field. The term is fixed and the checkpoints are set in advance, so the mentoring happens on a schedule rather than whenever someone remembers.
Runs a conference and a poster competition
Both take submissions across all five domains through an open call. Both reserve room for people presenting for the first time.
Reads drafts before reviewers do
Peer-review clinics read a manuscript the way a reviewer will, while there is still time to act on what they find.
Builds partnerships that outlast one event
Universities, research institutes, industry and public agencies work with FRT without signing an exclusivity clause. A partner is free to work with anyone else at the same time.
Runs a hackathon and innovation challenge
An applied, team-based route in for people whose best work is a prototype rather than a paper. It takes entries across all five domains.
